Lexine Murdoch - The girlfriend of Sam Caldwell, Lexine is a surveyor on Aegis VII present during the second Necromorph outbreak on the colonized planet. Throughout the first chapter, the player controlled Sam as he tried to reestablish the power and life support to the colony during the unexplained murders of his teammates and the miners down in the Megavents. Sam Caldwell - A playable character for the first chapter, Sam is an engineer on Aegis VII tasked with removing the Red Marker from its pedestal. In The Secret Life of Pets 2, Garth Jennings has a cameo as a hamster. 
In concept art of the Brooklyn Bridge scene by Ludo Gavillet, an earlier version of Sing's poster can be seen on the back of the bus. Both films feature a character named Norman. This is a meta reference since both The Secret Life of Pets and Sing were produced by Illumination. In the scene in which Max and Snowball drive a city bus down the Brooklyn Bridge, a poster for Sing can be seen on the back of the bus. A sequel was released in the UK on and the US on June 07, 2019.
